"Don't tell anyone!"say fans who worry they might "betray their own interests" by raving about the "sophisticated","beautifully presented" Asian fusion cuisine at this "tiny" (18-seat) not-quite-so "hidden gem" in Ft.Lauderdale; there's "not much" decor but it's "quiet", and chef-owner Iwao Kaita and his servers "work so well together to pace" meals that it's lovely to linger for a "romantic" repast; P.S. the prix fixe dinner is an "excellent buy." |

ABOUT
"SHARAKU"
Toshusai Sharaku, an ukiyo-e artist of the eighteenth century, produced over 140 works within ten months. The majority of these prints were portraits of actors in their kabuki or kyogen roles, and others include images of sumo wrestlers and warriors. Famous painters who worked in France, such as Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh, were inspired by ukiyo-e artists. Just as Sharaku introduced his Japanese works to the French, Chef Kaita introduces Japanese cooking artistry to French cuisine. |
